Professional modeling experience is not required. TSM Agency values strong communication skills, a professional appearance, reliability, and the ability to engage with event attendees. Many of our most successful trade show models came from backgrounds in sales, marketing, hospitality, and retail.
TSM Agency staffs events in more than 30 cities across the United States and Canada, including Las Vegas, Chicago, Orlando, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, San Diego, Nashville, Miami, Phoenix, Denver, and more. If your city is not listed, apply anyway. We are always expanding into new markets.
No. TSM Agency hires local talent in every market we serve. You work events in or near your home city. We do not require travel unless you request it and a client specifically needs out-of-market talent.
You must be at least 18 years old to apply to TSM Agency. There is no upper age limit. We staff a wide range of events that call for diverse talent across all age ranges.

Getting Booked
Your dedicated account executive reviews each event’s requirements including industry, booth size, product type, audience, and client preferences. We match talent based on experience, location, language skills, appearance, and availability. You will receive event details and a booth brief before every booking.
Most bookings are confirmed one to three weeks before the event. Some last-minute opportunities may come with shorter notice. We communicate all booking details by email and confirm your acceptance before finalizing the assignment.
Yes. You are not required to accept every booking offered. However, consistent availability and reliability improve your placement priority for future events. If you need to decline, let your coordinator know as soon as possible so we can staff a replacement.
TSM Agency provides a detailed booth brief for every assignment. This includes the client’s company name, product or service overview, key talking points, badge scanning instructions, dress code, call time, venue location, parking details, and your on-site coordinator’s contact information.
You can indicate your preferences for event types, industries, and dates. Our coordinators do their best to match you with events that fit your interests and schedule, but final placement depends on client requirements and availability in your market.
That depends on the event. Some bookings are for a single model at a booth, while larger events may require teams of two to six or more. TSM Agency assigns a team lead or on-site coordinator for multi-person bookings to ensure consistent performance and communication.
Payments and Policies
Pay rates vary by event type, role, market, and duration. Trade show models typically earn between $35 and $50 per hour depending on the assignment. Specialized roles such as presenters, spokesmodels, and bilingual staff may command higher rates. Your rate is confirmed before you accept any booking.
TSM Agency pays talent after the event is completed and the client has confirmed hours. Payment is processed via direct deposit or check, typically within 7 to 14 business days after the event. You will receive a payment confirmation by email.
TSM Agency provides a timesheet or hour confirmation process for every event. In most cases, your hours are logged by the on-site coordinator and confirmed by the client. If an invoice is required, your coordinator will provide instructions before the event.
No. There is no fee to apply, join the roster, or receive bookings from TSM Agency. We are a staffing agency, not a modeling school or talent listing service. TSM earns revenue from client bookings, not from talent.
Talent are typically engaged as independent contractors and receive a 1099 at the end of the tax year. You are responsible for reporting your own income and paying applicable taxes. TSM Agency does not withhold federal or state taxes from contractor payments.
Most event bookings have a four-hour minimum, though some full-day trade shows may require six to ten hours. The minimum hours and total expected hours are included in your booking confirmation before you accept the assignment.
Professional Expectations
Dress code varies by client and event. Some clients provide branded uniforms, while others specify business professional, business casual, or a specific color palette. Your booth brief will include detailed dress code instructions. When in doubt, default to professional, polished attire in neutral colors.
TSM Agency requires talent to arrive at least 15 to 30 minutes before the scheduled call time. This allows for on-site check-in, uniform verification, equipment review, and a walkthrough of the booth layout before the event floor opens.
A typical shift involves greeting attendees, engaging them in conversation about the exhibitor’s product or service, demonstrating products, scanning attendee badges for lead capture, distributing marketing materials, and answering questions. You may also assist with booth setup and teardown depending on the assignment.
Yes. TSM Agency provides a booth brief with product information, key talking points, and FAQs before every event. You are expected to review this material and arrive prepared to speak confidently about the client’s offerings. Clients often provide additional on-site training the morning of the event.
Contact your on-site coordinator or TSM Agency account executive immediately. We provide a direct phone number and email for every booking so you always have a point of contact available during the event. Do not attempt to resolve client disputes on your own.
Personal phone use is not permitted during active booth hours unless it is required for the event itself, such as using a lead retrieval app. Keep your phone silenced and stored out of sight. Breaks are typically scheduled, and personal calls and messages should be limited to break times.
Contact your TSM Agency coordinator as soon as possible. Last-minute cancellations impact the client and may affect your standing on the roster. If you have a genuine emergency, communicate it immediately so we can arrange a replacement. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in removal from active consideration for future bookings.
Yes. Clients submit performance reviews after each event, and TSM Agency shares relevant feedback with talent. Positive reviews improve your placement priority for future bookings. If a client provides constructive feedback, your coordinator will discuss it with you so you can continue to grow and improve.
Getting Started and Growing Your Career
Professional headshots are not required to apply. A clear, recent photo showing your face and a full-length photo in professional attire are sufficient for the initial application. If you advance in the review process, TSM Agency may request additional photos or recommend professional headshots for your talent profile.
TSM Agency does not provide photography or portfolio services directly. However, working trade shows and events gives you opportunities to build your portfolio with real event photos. Many of our talent use their TSM event experience to grow their modeling and marketing careers.
Log in to your talent portal to update your photos, contact information, availability, and skills at any time. Keeping your profile current ensures our coordinators can match you to the right events. If you have trouble accessing your portal, contact your coordinator by email.
Yes. TSM Agency does not require exclusivity. You are free to work with other agencies and accept other freelance opportunities. However, once you confirm a TSM booking, that commitment takes priority and canceling to take another job is not permitted.
